Working Principle of Road Surface Shot Blasting Machine
A road surface shot blasting machine is a small and lightweight shot blasting machine, and its working principle is roughly the same as that of a regular shot blasting machine. Currently, road surface shot blasting machines are widely used due to their compact size, portability, and good cleaning effect. The shot blaster propels shot at high acceleration and in a specific direction onto an uneven road surface, causing the shot to collide with the surface, smoothing the road and removing debris. Simultaneously, a dust collector generates negative pressure to recover the shot, dust, and impurities, which are then cleaned by airflow. Cleaned shot is automatically recycled, while dust is dragged into a dust collection bin.
A high-powered dust collector separates the shot and dust using a separation device above the storage hopper. The shot enters the storage hopper for continued recycling, while the dust enters the dust collector through a connecting pipe. Once inside the dust collector, the dust is separated by the filter elements and remains in the dust collection hopper and on the surface of the filter elements. An automatic back-blowing dust collector automatically cleans each filter element at intervals using back-blowing air supplied by a compressor. Afterwards, the shot and impurities are cleaned separately inside the machine using an airflow from a matching vacuum cleaner, allowing the shot to be reused. The road shot blasting machine is equipped with a dust collector, enabling dust-free and pollution-free construction, improving efficiency and protecting the environment. Utilizing a motor-driven impeller, the shot blaster generates centrifugal force and airflow at high speed. When shot of a certain particle size flows into the shot tube (the shot flow rate can be controlled), it is accelerated and carried into the high-speed rotating shot distributor. Under the action of centrifugal force, the shot is thrown out through the shot distributor window into the directional sleeve, and then out through the directional sleeve window (controlling the shot's throwing direction). It is picked up by the high-speed rotating blades and continuously accelerated along the length of the blades until it is thrown out. The thrown shot forms a fan-shaped jet that impacts the working surface, playing a role in cleaning and strengthening. Then, the shot, along with dust and impurities, passes through the rebound chamber and arrives above the storage hopper.
Road shot blasting machines have two main applications. First, they are used for cleaning road markings on highways, where removing excess paint is a common problem. Road shot blasting machines can easily remove markings, especially for cleaning cold-painted lines and surfaces like those on municipal pedestrian streets. Second, road shot blasting machines are used for asphalt pavement anti-skid treatment. The roughness of road surfaces has a significant impact on traffic. Traffic accidents caused by road landslides are increasing every year. For example, in curves and accident-prone areas, road shot blasting machines are used to clean the road surface and improve the anti-skid performance of passing vehicles, offering great convenience and flexibility.
